I had a great day yesterday reading my poems to all the classes at the local Primary school. This was the start of their Poetry for Pleasure fortnight culminating in the Poetry Aloud competition final. I can't wait to hear the children performing their poems. So brave!
The children took great pleasure from hearing my poems. There were a lot of smiles and giggles. I read 'Big Foot', 'Big Mistake' and 'Monster Mum' to name a few. I played the recording of 'My Witch' that was aired on Huntingdon Community Radio (104fm) last Friday.
It was a brilliant morning and was so pleased the children responded so positively to my children's poems!
