Brain Fog

 

Behind these eyes are my thoughts

huddled together waiting,

words escape when called

through a muddy exit.

 

I read the pages of a book

stalking the corner of my eye,

but nothing rests easy

words bounce in and out.

 

A heavy shadow has landed

breathing out jumbled words,

right ones, random ones

breaking my voice machine.

 

Heavy eyes call for sleep

concentration has left,

dragging limbs move nowhere

rest takes hold.
